Preparation guide Albury Wodonga

To reduce stress the day of your photos

  • Give yourself extra time to get ready
  • Have outfits selected and set aside ahead of time
  • Clear your session date of any other tasks or responsibility

 What to wear

Wear something that is comfortable and makes you feel beautiful!
Simple, solid colour clothes, in neutral shades and mid tones always look good as they will emphasize the faces and make them appear warmer and more pleasing in photographs.
Neutral doesn’t have to be boring – think soft pinks, faded blues, greys and oatmeal. Just have a look at these gorgeous colour palettes below!

Keep it simple & timeless

Fashion fads come and go so keep your style understated and classic so your images don’t date.
Classic style staples are versatile pieces that can be layered, mixed, and matched in order to create an abundance of clean, timeless looks.
Remember – the number one thing to consider is comfort, if your clothes look and feel comfortable then YOU will look and feel great wearing them.

Toddlers & Children

Toddlers are challenging (as you may already know). They are learning to assert their independence, test boundaries and have a short attention span. Try not to set your expectation too high. If you have a specific pose or photo idea in mind, I will do my best, but know that it may not happen.

Some tips :

~ Don’t get toddlers ready to soon
~ Bring your childs favourite toy, great for comfort and distraction if needed.
~ Avoid tight Itchy or restricting clothing
~ Bring back up outfits
~ Bringing some snacks & water is a must with toddlers – but a good idea to leave them until the end of the photoshoot or as necessary, to keep them happy
~ If we have an outdoor session near a park, playground or water. Pre warn your child that we are having some photos first. Playtime after 🙂

Newborn Sessions

Before your session

Bring (or have handy) the normal items you’d take with you on an outing with your baby – baby wipes, nappies, bottles, blankets, swaddles, DUMMY. There may be a special heirloom item (like a blanket that Grandma made) that you’d like me to photograph with baby…by all means bring it along and I would be happy to incorporate it into the shoot. Dress baby in a zip/button down onesie with no singlet so it is easy to undress baby and not stir them too much.
Newborn session take anywhere between 2-4 hours, so i advise you bring along snacks for yourselves & refreshments.

During your session

Babies are the boss! & it’s my job to keep them calm, happy, & safe.
Your baby sets the pace, with plenty of time for feeding & cuddles. The studio will be nice and warm to keep baby comfortable, so remember to dress light.

Toddlers & Children

Toddlers are challenging (as you may already know). They’re learning to assert their independence, test boundaries and have a short attention span. Try not to set your expectation too high. If you have a specific pose or photo idea in mind, I will do my best, but know that it may not happen.
Once family/ sibling images are done, I ask that Dad/or a grandparent can take the toddler out of the studio, so we can finish the session.

After your session

Within 2 weeks of your session, it’s time for your big reveal! You are welcome back into the studio for the big reveal, or you can opt for an online gallery option.

Baby Photography – Albury Wodonga

Welcome to my favourite Baby Photography session to date ..

Not only is this Hudson my high school besties baby,  Hudsons family drove all the way from Cobar to have his newborn portraits taken by me in my Wodonga photography studio! To say i am truly honoured would be an understatement. How amazing and special i feel is indescribable.

To be able to capture these moments for not only friends but all clients is an overwhelming feeling…

To be able photograph these ever so important fleeting moments, for families to treasure for a lifetime and to pass on for generations – totally incredible.

.. Loving baby goodness <3

Hudson was an absolute star during his portraits, we barely heard a peep from him the whole photography session.
Baby Hudson has a big sister, so for a new baby boy in the family, they naturally wanted me to photograph him in BLUE !

And i can tell you it’s definitely his colour 😉
Baby hudson gallery also includes a couple of creative edits for something a little extra special to add to his already amazing session.

Enjoy looking through some of my favourite images from Hudsons session. Yes there are many hehe .. And a little behind the scenes, a snuggle at the end of our session..

Hi there

Hi! I'm Bec! I am a wife, mother of two gorgeous boys and newborn maternity & baby photographer located in West Wodonga.

I know how important your family is to you. I know that you want to preserve these beautiful memories of your family, your new baby or your growing bump! You want quality heiloom pieces in your home to be able to treasure daily and for many years and generations to come.

Some of the great things you can expect from me is to make you laugh, relax and have fun.

You want more from a photographer than to just take that picture. You want a photographer to care wholeheartedly in the whole process. Get to know you & your family. Create pieces of art that are then turned into pieces for you home or gifts for the grandparents. Then handed down for generations.

Newborn photography is my passion. I love all types of sessions of course, however I love the skill and creativeness involved with newborns.

I know how important and treasured newborn portraits are to every parent. Therefore I have invested in a number of training courses.... yearly ! Which includes safety for babies during sessions - always my top priority. You can be assured that your baby will be handled with the utmost care and lots of love during your newborn photo session.

My style of photography is artistic and creative. I love to create a piece of art. Created to be hung on your wall and admired every day.

I love colours and textures. Sweet little outfits, and gorgeous little props. I am known to throw in a few natural tones and posing. Focusing on how new and absolutely beautiful your little bundle is.
